(Am I tipping my hand by writing the following? Hope not, I’ve always felt that honesty, in life and in writing, is essential to being a good human being. Good being relative of course.)
Having read Anne Waymen’s “How to Land a Writing Job” for the fiftieth time, I set off on what I like to call an, ‘applying spree’ this morning. I tried to pay particular attention to her advice to match the tone in the application email to the tone in the job posting. It makes sense that the person posting the job will read the emails and identify with an applicant who writes like they do.
I’m hoping to land that one illusive, break-into-the-field-job soon, I don’t know how much longer my husband can go without eating (joke, of course). My anticipation is grounded solely in the desire to write for a living, to fill the world with words hopefully not superficial, but helpful and good (good being relative of course).

Melissa, is that an old or a new typewriter – looks actually like it might beat carpel tunnel.
Thanks for the link and good for you for applying lots… let us know how it works.
